DOE Funding Announcement: Decarbonizing Iron and Steel (7 projects, $37 million)
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has selected 7 projects, with a budget of $37 million, partially funded by the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office, to decarbonize iron and steel production. These projects aim to develop innovative manufacturing technologies, electrify existing processes, utilize hydrogen in steelmaking, and address scrap contaminants. The initiative is a significant step towards achieving a greener and more sustainable future for the environment.

DOE Funding Announcement: Low-Carbon Fuels Utilization R&D (6 Projects, $20.7 million)
The DOE has selected 6 projects with a budget of $20.7 million for Low-Carbon Fuels Utilization R&D. These projects aim to accelerate the commercial readiness of hydrogen-fueled process heating technology and low-carbon-input, flexible combined heat and power by conducting research, development, validation, and demonstration.
