Welcome to the August 2024 User Newsletter!

This month, we’re excited to introduce several key updates in Ongoing WMS, including the new bulk deletion of waybill rows, enhanced automation with location type filters, and the ability to add packing instructions for individual articles, and more. We’ve also expanded our ecosystem with new integrations to 微软 Entra ID and Zettle by PayPal . As a market leader, Ongoing WMS continues to offer a comprehensive network of integrations with popular software services, including e-commerce platforms, ERP systems, delivery management systems (DMS), transport management systems (TMS), automation systems, and even more.

General updates

Below is a curated selection of the latest enhancements and features to Ongoing WMS. We recognize the importance of a clutter-free interface for optimal performance and productivity. To this end, most new features are deactivated by default and can be activated based on your preferences. Should you wish to enable a specific feature, please contact your designated Ongoing contact person.

Bulk Deletion of Waybill Rows

Users can now delete multiple waybill rows simultaneously when expanding an order in the order list. This enhancement streamlines order management by reducing the time required to remove unnecessary or incorrect waybill rows.

Location Type Filter in Automatic Processes

The Automatic Processes feature now includes a filter for location types where goods have been allocated. For example, creating a process that only applies to orders with items allocated from a specific location type, such as a 'Buffer' location is now possible. This improvement provides more precise control over automated workflows.

Packing Instructions for Articles

In the Warehouse > Articles section, users can now set a packing instruction for an individual article. These instructions are displayed in the pack scanner, ensuring accurate and consistent packing. Additionally, the packing instruction can be integrated via the Goods Owner SOAP and REST APIs or imported through Excel, offering flexibility in managing this information.

Order Sort Location Indicator

In the warehouse map, locations designated as 'order sort locations' for at least one order are now marked with a blue dot. This visual cue helps warehouse staff quickly identify locations involved in order sorting, thereby improving operational efficiency.

Grouped View by Article Status and Warehouse

The Allocated Orders overview now includes an option to group orders by article item status and warehouse. This feature provides a clearer overview of how orders are distributed across different statuses and locations, aiding in better inventory management and order processing.

Integrations

We continuously make sure our in-house-developed integrations are up and running smoothly. Below, we have listed some of last month’s updates. Find more information about all integrations in our Documentation Center.

Microsoft Entra ID

  • New integration. Ongoing WMS now integrates with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Microsoft Azure AD), enabling centralized user management. This integration simplifies administrative tasks by syncing user changes directly from the identity provider (IdP) and enhances security by automatically deactivating users in Ongoing WMS when their IdP account is disabled. Additionally, it provides greater control over authentication, allowing administrators to enforce security measures like multi-factor authentication and password policies directly through the IdP. More details about this integration are available in the Documentation Center.

Rackbeat

  • Stock Sync. The integration now synchronizes stock balances within Ongoing WMS, ensuring better stock accuracy across systems.

Shopify

  • Parcely.app Plugin Support. Ongoing WMS now supports the Parcely.app plugin, which allows users to select their preferred pickup location and transportation service. The system fetches this data and forwards it to the relevant shipping platform or carrier.

Specter

  • Multi-shop support. A single integration can now be connected to multiple webshops, eliminating the need to set up individual integrations for each webshop. When setting up or editing an integration, webshop numbers for syncing orders and articles can be added in the 'Multi-Shop' section.

Tripletex

  • Backorder Support. The Tripletex integration now supports backorder functionality. For systems with backorder activated, Ongoing WMS checks the OrderedQuantity field in Tripletex instead of the Count field when retrieving order quantities. This ensures more accurate order management and better alignment with actual order amounts.

Zettle by PayPal

  • New Integration. The integration between Ongoing WMS and Zettle by PayPal allows for seamless synchronization of products, purchases, and returns. The system fetches data from Zettle every 15 minutes, syncing product information daily and creating orders in Ongoing WMS for purchases made in Zettle. Returns are automatically processed, and automated order fulfillment can be configured. Further information on this integration can be found in the Documentation Center.
