1. LTMC
LTMC is the S/4HANA tool for migration. It comes instead of LSMW. SAP tell us not to use LSMW anymore although some features are still usable.
LTMC is a new concept for migration and provide standard objects for migration. We can use:
LTMC standard is used for creating new SAP data for migration, but what we can do if need update Z fields or what to have a mass change? For this we have the migration object modeler (LTMOM). In SAP note 2287723, SAP tell us:
"powerful and easy-to-use state-of-the-art modelling environment that allows the creation of custom migration objects as well as the adaptation of SAP content.".
In this note, SAP describe the major differences between LTMOM and LSMW.
But how LTMOM is working? There are 2 main features:
1. Create a migration object as a copy from the standard and add fields - For example how to migrate BP when we added some Z fields.
2. Create a User Defined objects - For example if we want to update the banks accounts in the BP Master record.
2. LTMOM Ver. LSMW
?LSMW was very flexible, we could do a change in master data, or Finance document with Batch Input. We could use recordings to create one field change object.
We could also use ABAP for field mapping.
?LTMOM comes with structured functions. We need to check which function is valid to use.
The concept is the same: Source file, Target structures and field mapping. When we finish the set up, we run the migration with LTMC.
Here is an exmaple how to use LTMOM for updating BP Banks.

3. Add Bank Account to BP (Example)
Follow the LTMOM activities, one by one to complete the migration object creation.
Use BAPI: BAPI_BUPA_BANKDETAIL_ADD
Create the source structure. You can use flat structure or multiple.
Set up the Target structure, it is generated automatically by the function.
The structure mapping is the most difficult. Assign the source structure to the target. We have several options here like :
The field mapping is the last step. We can also use fixed values and variables.
Save and generate.
We are done.
?Now , we have a new object in LTMC, we can download the XML file and start using it.

2 年Thank you for sharing Alon
LTMOM is the better approach along with Fiori launchpad introduced for both standard and custom object handling.
