User Experience Review - WEIRD, anyone else get intrusive cat GIFs when using their Samsung?

User Experience Review - iPhones 4-6 vs Huawei P20 vs Samsung A53 vs Google Pixel 6.
In order of ownership, I won’t spend too much time describing the UX of my first few iPhones. 4, 5, 5C, 6, all largely the same, marginal SW updates, cameras and screen resolution improved. The iOS software as we all know is quick, user-friendly, secure and intuitive but I personally felt restricted and at times part of the all-seeing Zuckerberg Illuminati.
Like many of us, purchases and especially #technology purchases are very personal. As the devices we choose to interact with on a daily basis unknowingly influence our lives, our experiences, our productivity and output. Ditching #iOS felt like a massive jump away from the norm and into the unknown and the transition to Android was a choice that I have never looked back on.
Looking ahead an elegant Chinese-born åŽä¸º P20, slim, fast, what can I say? Great phone, great software, intuitive, good camera features, an all-round winner. I kept the lighting fast P20 for a total of 5 years before a silly user error caused a crack in the screen. Unfortunately, after replacing the screen it was just never the same and a second break shortly after (and the fact that new Huawei phones aren't allowed to run android SW) meant I had to once again explore my options elsewhere.
Over to South Korea to our reliant (or what I thought would be) friendly neighbourhood Samsung. The obvious choice for an equivalent to the P20 seemed to be the A53, a mid-range 三星电å with similar spec, processor, and memory to the Huawei. I'm not in any way saying this is a top-spec Samsung but I expected better from the price point. It looks good has a greatly improved camera and is waterproof up to 0.5m. Unfortunately, the positives in my opinion stop there. For what I needed, the user experience I found was pretty poor - the software was laggy and sluggish, the screen isn’t very bright, and god knows why the inbuilt intelligence was trying to recommend animated snoozing cat GIFs out of nowhere - reducing my screen space further. Anyone else have this issue with a mid-range Samsung? I don't even like cats! I tried to get on with this Samsung for a number of weeks but it was simply slowing me down, I kept it in good nick and it was returned for a full refund.

Back to America and the savour of the day, the è°·æŒ Pixel 6. Wow, what a difference! A superior handset, Google has really nailed it with this one. The best #userexperience and interface I’ve experienced in a phone. You can really tell Google has focused on the #UX. The software is intuitive, it learns and suggests features to automate processes and has some amazing design studio elements. The phone even sends small responsive vibrations when interfacing with the screen. It's just nice to use. It's rapid quick and it's fun.
I expect there to be 苹果 and 三星电å lovers out there who have had different experiences and that's valid. I’m interested to hear about them all, especially #userexperiences when transitioning from Apple to Android and vice versa. Of course, Apple and Samsung have their place, let's debate. Can of worms opened…
