With more retailers than ever selling goods online, this year’s Peak season will be busy as always.?Below are 3 tips to help you achieve a smooth peak season, avoided unnecessary delays and costs through inbound preparation.
Tip 1 | Don’t forget to register your SKU and create and if required attach the SKU label before sending in the inventory
·Register SKU/EAN/UPC/GTIN info on the OC management platform
·1 SKU label for each item, If EAN/UPC/GTIN label is used, the SKU label is not required
·Provide the shipment dimensions and weight during registration
·Unregistered and/or unlabelled SKUs will delay the inbound process,add additional costs and refusal of inbound deliveries
Tip 2 | Did you know that a carton label supports processing?
·Create an inbound order BEFORE shipments sent into the warehouse.?
·Create a carton label. This helps us identify your inbound order and supports fast receipt.
·Make sure you send the items in appropriate packaging
·There is a Maximum of 5 SKUs per box ( use cardboard, elastic bands or bubble wrap to separate different SKUs)
·Add the number of boxes and link the SKU information to the inbound order.
·Add the correct carton label to the box (don’t attach the SKU label to the outside of the carton)
·Ensure UN label is included if the SKU contains a battery.
Tip 3 | Create an ASN (advance shipment notice)

Delivery by Truck :
·You wouldn’t turn up to a restaurant on a busy Friday night with-out a booking, and expect to get a table; Same with your inbound if there is not an ASN booking, the shipment will be rejected, as we have allocated our workforce to receipt stock for the sellers who have ASN’s.
·Ensure to create the ASN before 15:00 of the day before shipment arrival. If the delivery does not arrive before 15:00 on the scheduled day, the system will cancel the ASN automatically and a no-show fee will be charged.
·Change of plans? No worries! You can cancel the ASN one day before arrival and rebook for ASN for the correct date/time without additional cost
·You only need 1 ASN for 1 inbound order and please provide accurate truck and container information
·To ensure the safety and efficiency of our operation, we will reject if the delivery arrives without ASN or if delivery arrives after 15:00 on the scheduled day
Delivery by Express Courier:
·As with delivery by truck we require ASN to be create 15:00 of the day before actual delivery day
·Please provide express tracking number before shipment arrival
·Ensure you provide an accurate delivery day for your express shipment
·Please indicate the receiver info on the express consignment note as Orange Connex, at the correct address.
·Palletise whenever possible to avoid partial arrival
Finally
We understand how important the inbound goods are and will process these within 2 business day from arrival, however if you don’t follow the above process delays and refusals will occur.
When a delivery has exceptions, our dedicated customer service team will contact you to validate the information; a much longer SLA for processing will be required and additional costs are charged.?
