USEFUL ADD-ONS FOR THE 3D SOFTWARE. BLENDER
Blacksteinn artist Danil Sharandin compiled for you a collection of several addons for Blender that simplify development of assets for game projects. He uses it himself - and recommended it to you ;)
Once again, this is not all the interesting extensions we can tell you about. Share in the comments what addons you think are also worth mentioning :) And don't forget to like it and send this post to your friends ;)
1. Drag and Drop Support
The addon allows you to place images and 3D models of various formats (for example, FBX and OBJ) in the open scene by simply dragging and dropping them from Explorer or other applications.
2. Zen UV
Contains many useful tools. One of the most commonly used for you may be the Zen UV Checker. It allows you to turn on a texture on the model with one click, which helps to track the direction of UV-shells and stretches (if any). There are two types of checker: color and black and white. It is also possible to load your own texture, using the default Alt+T hotkey. Zen UV also has a handy button on the left side of the toolbar for switching to UV Editing mode. Or you can use the Shift+T hotkey.
A little more detail on the individual functions:
Quadrify Island?- with this function you can align twisted shells to rectangles in one click, but it is important to make sure that they are without N-gons and triangles
Relax?- makes the meshes more accurate.
Reshape Island?- aligns the shell by its chosen side. Works with triangles, but does not guarantee the rectangularity of the shell.
World Orient?- helps to orient the selected shells in space. But this feature is best handled by UV-Align Rotation in Blender since version 3.4.
3. Texel Density Checker
Calculates pixel density for the selected texture resolution and units. Also allows you to adjust shells for the needed texel.
4. UV-Packer
A simple packer, which does not have a lot of settings, but even this set can initially scare inexperienced artists. Features on board: resolution selection, padding, shell rotation and scaling.

5. UV Packmaster2
Another packmaster, but a bit more complicated. Has a lot of settings for more accurate shell packaging.?
6. UV Toolkit
Another add-on for working with UV. You can control the orientation of shells and work with the overlaps. This is especially useful when you need to unfold a shell at a slight angle, but want to do it straight. But in newer versions of Blender (3.0 and later) it may not work correctly.
7. Quad Remesher
Addon to create a smoother grid, for example from a scanned object.
8. Asset Creation Toolset
Has a very rich feature set:
? work with origins
? renaming multiple objects and then numbering them
? renaming UV on several objects at once
? reset custom normals on multiple selected objects
? import/export to game engines
The most common use may be the section UV Tools and functions for resetting of custom normals.
9. Simple Renaming Panel Master
As the name suggests, this addon allows you to rename objects at once. You can conveniently configure prefixes and postfixes. It is possible to replace some part of the name with another and specify the number of characters in the numbering.
10. Simple Tabs
Gives you the ability to sort the addons in Viewport into the right folders and in the right order. However, there is a bug that requires you to put a checkmark each time you restart for the folders to fit in their places.
11. LoopTools
This addon is built into Blender, all you need to do is activate it. There are many important features here for everyday use. For example, the extension allows you to make a perfect circle from some closed shape, relax the position of the edges and vertices, align polygons in a plane or make the distance between the edges the same.
