Use your hands for giving to people

Satisfaction is something related to mind and we feel satisfied in our mind when we do something good, or something good comes our way or we go through some difficult time in life and come out unscathed. If we study the lives of successful people and unsuccessful people, we can understand that everybody encounters in his/her life: successes, failures , adjustments and the list goes on.

Everybody may set goals for oneself to achieve (or) expects outcome of events according to one's expectations and works in that direction. If one is able to achieve the targets completely (or) the outcome of events is according to one's expectations, then we will call it success. It gives happiness/boost in future tasks. Normally, the success percentage varies from 5-15% even in the lives most successful people

If one is not able to achieve the targets completely (or) the outcome of events is not according to one's expectations, then we will call it failure. It results in gloominess/sadness/frustration and tells upon future tasks. Normally, the failure percentage varies from 10-25% even in the lives most unsuccessful people

The remaining percentage goes with adjustments. The partial success and partial failure cases fall into this category. The percentage of adjustments in everybody life varies from 60 - 70%.

Hence, it is to be understood that in majority of the cases of everybody's life will be met with adjustments only. So what is to be done? One has to strive hard in each case, with mind resting in equanimity. That is what Shri mad Bhagavad Gita says.

??????? ???????????? ?????????????????

In the case of a person who dwells on objects, there arises attachment for them. From attachment grows hankering, from hankering springs anger.

From anger follows delusion; from delusion, failure of memory; from failure of memory, the loss of understanding; from the loss of understanding, he perishes.

When there is serenity, there follows eradication of all his sorrows, because the wisdom of one who has a serene mind soon becomes firmly established.

Coming to the art of giving to people, let me give you a simple live example which happened in real life on a Rose Day. I was sitting just outside a famous mall in town as I had nothing else to do that evening. I like hanging near or inside the malls and watch people going about their shopping. Many Couples were sitting there and were celebrating the most awaited special day for them. As soon as I entered the mall, suddenly a middle-aged woman came to me with her child lying in the lap and said to me —“ Excuse me, Sir... Sir... Please buy the Rose Flowers , Rose Bouquet. Please Sir, only 80 Rupees” (She was requesting to me very politely and her eyes showed that she needed to feed something to the child and also buy some food for herself with those 80 rupees.

But I said casually “Ohhh !! I am Sorry, But I don't have any Girlfriend. Then what will I do with these Rose Flowers ? She got disappointed and went away from there with a very frustrated mind . I also went Away from there. I was seeing that People were buying Roses from the big shops at a very high Price because of the mentality of looking high class. But No one was buying flowers from that lady. I thought I disappointed that lady. But, What could I do? If I had bought that flower then it would be a waste of money. One kind Part of my mind was saying that “Go and buy those Flowers. She will bless you” On the other hand Second strict Part of my mind was saying that “Why are you wasting your money, save it.

The Real battle between the two parts of my mind started by the time I finally came out of the mall and went near that lady and said “Hey, Please Give me those Flowers bouquet ".She said “But, Sir, You said that I don't have Girlfriend ,then why are you buying these Roses? I said “Yes, actually I don't have one, but I am not buying this for myself. I am buying for a friend because he has girlfriend. He suddenly called me and asked to buy these flowers” (Which I had lied completely), she felt better at my decision and she smiled. Her heart was definitely jumping with joy. She Smiled again and gave it to me.

She gave me the Rose Bouquet and I gave the 100 /- Rs. note in her child's hand. He started Playing with that note. This scene melted my hard heart. Then she asked ne “Sir, Do you have some change? I don't have change of 20 rupees because this is my first sale tonight. I said “No, No, there is no need for it to return me the change, you may keep it” I thought that I had bought a temporary Smile in Rs.100/- . My 100/- Rupees can't fulfill her basic Requirements. 100 /- Rs was not a big deal for me if I can buy Someone's Smile in 100/- Rupees.

I know money can't buy happiness but at least it can buy a temporary smile and that was more than enough to melt my heart. This was my satisfaction. I find satisfaction in little - little things. I felt that I made her day by giving her first sale of Rs.100/- with which she would feed her child and also eat something for herself.

A satisfied life is better than a successful life because our Success is measured by others. But our Satisfaction is measured by our own soul , mind and heart. Making one Person Smile can change the world. Maybe not the whole world but their world. Remember that “One of the best thing in life is seeing a smile on a person's face and knowing that you put it there” “Make Someone Smile whenever you can , you never know how much of a difference you could be making in their life at that moment” Stay blessed! #kishoreshintre #possessedbywritingspirit
