Use what you have...

Use what you have...

1.??????This Week's Hot Tip:

?I want you to know that you can build a successful business without a big online presence. Start with what you have. Your business needs real connections with real people. Focus on that and you can build the rest with time and budget.?Eventually, you will have a marketing ecosystem that supports the growth of your business.?Having a small audience, a small list, and low website traffic is not an excuse.?

Here are three quick things to remember:

  1. Stop comparing yourself to others in your space.?You don’t know their story or how long it has taken to build.
  2. Successful businesses have been built long before the digital age.?Surely, you can make some phone calls and send a few follow-up emails.
  3. Focus on relationships and adding value. As your business grows, you can hire experts to help you.

2: Book Recommendation:

Many moons and careers ago, I met Kathryn Finney at an event. Back then I was a publicist in NYC, and she was the founder of The Budget Fashionista.?She immediately made me feel seen and appreciated (a rarity in the thankless world of PR). I knew then she was a powerhouse. It has been amazing to watch her build and inspire so many others.?It is also a reminder to me that we all start somewhere.?

In addition to Pacific Northwest-inspired handmade enamel jewelry, Sarah and the Magpie Mouse Studios team will offer classes in the coming weeks.

We are so proud of Sarah’s resilience and discipline to bring this dream to life.?She puts the work in daily and leans into mentorship as an artist and entrepreneur. We can’t wait to see all that she will accomplish in the coming months.

5. Ask Keita:

Q: Hello Keita, I am a coach and consultant. I am so excited.?I have been spending hours planning and posting on social media. Last week, I finally had a video go viral. As exciting as that is, I haven’t seen any new clients from all this work. Thoughts?

A: Congrats on going viral!?That is exciting news. Over the next few weeks, I want you to spend time connecting 1:1 with your ideal client. Email, DM, or text message.?Invite them to have a consult call or a strategy session with you.

I would also suggest connecting with people that commented on the viral post that you could see as a potential clients.

I think it is equally if not more important to build relationships and have conversations as it is to create engaging content

If you need a pep talk and a game plan, grab some time on my calendar.

I hope you enjoyed your 5-minute break today. If you want to develop your strategy for the end of the year, I would like to invite you to have a call with me.

Let's get after it!
