Use These Tips to Help Prepare for Your Next Interview
The better prepared you are for an interview, the greater your chances of landing the job. Use these interview prep tips to ensure you arrive feeling focused and confident.
- Start preparing possible answers to questions early, so you can relax the night before the interview. This relaxation time puts your mind at ease, so you can think more clearly.
- Check the weather forecast before heading out the door. If there's a chance of rain, make sure you bring an umbrella or raincoat.
- Make sure you include some hygiene essentials in your bag, just in case you need to do some last-minute grooming. Dental floss, deodorant, and chapstick are all important.
- An hour or so before your interview, call up a friend and have a conversation about something completely unrelated to the interview. This will take your mind off of it, so you don't get too nervous.
- Remember to turn your phone off as you head into the building for your interview. Nothing is worse than a phone ringing in the middle of an important question.
