Challenges Are An Inevitable Part of Life: Use Them!
Michael Caine, renowned for his acting and comedic talents, shares a life philosophy that resonates with him: "Use the difficulty." He recounts an early experience in his acting career when he was rehearsing a play, and an actor inadvertently blocked his stage entrance with a chair. When Caine tried to explain that he couldn’t get through, the other actor advised him to "Use the difficulty. If it’s a comedy, fall over it. If it’s a drama, pick it up and smash it."
As Caine later articulated, "There’s never anything so bad that you cannot use that difficulty. If you can use it a quarter of one percent to your advantage, you’re ahead. You didn’t let it get you down."
Applying This Philosophy to Life
If we could apply this philosophy just 1% more in our daily lives, we might start to think about how we can use the challenges we encounter instead of avoiding them or worrying excessively about them.
Since difficulties, obstacles, and challenges are bound to happen, why not leverage them for our personal growth and advancement?

As in all aspects of life, focus on what you can control. While the difficulties and challenges that present themselves may be beyond your control, you can always influence your reactions, responses, and your attitude toward these obstacles.
Although difficulties are an inevitable part of life, how you choose to respond to them is entirely within your control.
