Use These Simulations To Illustrate Real Life Vector Resolution Situations
The Vector Resolution Demo illustrates how a vector is broken down into its component vectors for several real life situations: a dragged box, an inclined plane, and a boat sail. Students can see visually how each component changes as the angle of the original vector is changed.
There are also two sailing simulations that help illustrate how a boat sail uses the wind and how a boat can even sail into the wind.
