Use these questions to teach your clients to own their work...
You’re doing a good job as a coach if you are leaving your coaching sessions with nothing on your plate — with all work delegated to the client.
However, what can quickly happen is that you become an ‘accountability partner’ — in that you find yourself chasing down your clients for their work, making sure they're on track.
This is a huge waste of time, and I refuse to accept this as my reality as a coach.
Once the work has been agreed upon, here are a few key coaching questions that will help you delegate accountability to your client:
…and to finish up, get an agreement that you expect them to let you know immediately if they are getting off track with their work.

2 年Great point here Chris Marr we can very quickly become that accountability person which of course, there is an element of that needed but agree it's the client who needs to take responsibility on taking action. Really like question 2!
