Use these pointers to dominate and succeed in your interview

Nothing is more agonizing than going through several stages in the job process only to receive a "rejection letter." When you finally land an interview after experiencing the distress of rejections during the hiring process, don't let the opportunity slip through your fingers by ignoring one of the pointers below designed to help you dominate and succeed in your interview.

Communicating your experience

When the interview date finally arrives, with all of that excitement, confusion, and panic mixed in, your first stop to learn how to ace the interview becomes YouTube. And as you may know, there are lots of experts who will tell you various ways and techniques to nail your interview.

Some of these experts may even advise purchasing a mirror to practice interview questions and responses, before it, some may advise you to do a mock interview with a friend or coworker. All of these people are correct, but the outcome of the interview will come down to how you communicate the experience you outlined on your CV.

As information floods in from left to right on YouTube, you eventually become confused about what to truly digest, and you end up memorizing the exact words of these experts to utilize in the interview room.

Unfortunately for you, everything you memorized vanishes as soon as you enter the interview room.

But why?

The reason is simple. Your inability to communicate what you have been doing regularly for years.

Communicating well entails being yourself, in your casual mode, and captivating those listening to you.

But how can you meet someone for the first time and instantly make them feel as though they have known you for years? How can you make them feel so at ease conversing with you and remember to call you back to take the offer letter?

The response is simple

Having Confidence

To be confident, you need to have a mastery of what you do, and know how to channel what you have mastery at.

The best way to communicate efficiently and captivate your listener is to tell stories and the secret to telling stories in using the STAR Methodolgy.

Unfortunately, you can not tell stories when you are not in your most relaxed mode, and by being in your most relaxed mode, you find yourself in the same environment as the interviewer.

A practical example:

Question: Tell us how you can win your competitors' client:

Response:

When I joined ABC Company in 2016, I had a problem with market penetration. In addition to being a new business in the area, my items were also entirely new, therefore I faced a significant hurdle in outperforming my rivals and capturing the majority of the clientele.

I began visiting these customers frequently without initially bringing up sales, but whenever I did, I dressed professionally to make myself stand out. After a few weeks, I asked them about their interactions with my competitors, and from their responses, I was able to identify the advantages and disadvantages of my rivals. One of challenges was on a container of butter 9kg. My competitors sold butter for $2 per 9KG, and their containers were so soft, and we sold butter of 10KG for $2.5 making us so expensive by $0.02, however, they could sell our butter containers which end users were willing to buy for $0.5 extra, making us stand apart.

Not only would they have repeat customers with our products, they had possibility of expanding their client base to those who couldn't purchase butter, but could purchase buckets. As a result of this, I swept almost all the clients in my initial 3 months and we realized sales of $2M for the first quarter.

USE THE STAR method, tell stories, and before you reach home, you will get that offer.
