Use a MVPPT to Test and Refine a Repeatable, Scalable, High Value Product
In which I provide almost everything I know about market testing and getting ready to scale a new idea to turn it into a repeatable, scalable, profitable product.
Objective: Define your MVP and find your first customers
Step 1: Don't build anything. Test your idea with a Minimum Viable PowerPoint
Step 2: Make sure you understand the problem you hope to solve. This is the "love your problem" stage.
Step 3: Create your 10 slide MVPPT
Objectives of the MVPPT: Features, Users, Pricing, potential buyers and partnerStep 4: Meet face to face whenever possible. Do not email your MVPPT. Zoom only if absolutely necessary
Step 5: Test your solution manually with minimal code
What you get:
Step 6: How to test broader demand -- create a product "waiting list"
Step 7: Continue to refine and build a repeatable offering and sell pilots to early customers
Step 8: Document your selling and delivery processes for hiring and training. Exit the "founder seller mode." Get ready to scale.
Let me know how you make out....

8 个月An excellent piece, David that echoes your other piece! Thank you! Now, to apply this wisdom to social justice -- mental healthcare for our Military community -- creating a national reintegration program (functional and in policy) that truly helps people with transitioning from Military service to civilian life. Looking forward to our next touch base!

1 年HI David. It has been quite awhile since we crossed paths. Fortuitously, LinkedIn surfaced up your name and this nice quick read as I was working on some other connections. I really like it, and reminds me of the work you did in the past to help leadership teams break down their strategies into actionable parts / scorecards. Hope you're doing great, and thanks for doing this for all of our benefit.
