Use less plastic packagings, not just a recyclat solution....
My personal opinion. A lot of people and companies think that switching to recyclat is a solution to tackle our plastic waste, even some companies promote that strongly, like - "hey use recyclat and you are more green" - this implies in an easy way, as it reduces of course in some way the Co2footprint slightly and might need less plastic or reuse plastic, that we don`t have to care anymore. But not switching to recyclat packagings reduces our impact, using less reduces our impact ! I don`t want to open ths discussion between traditional PET and Recyclat PET, just the simple facts, that using generally less plastic is the best way of handling our plastic waste problem, if then also Recyclat or similar solutions will help additionally, then a good go ahead. So we have to tackle the volume of plastic we use (also in the cleaning industry), not the way it is made of. Also sustainability needs to intergate the end user, if I have refill bottles to fill up with a solution, then I need the end user also to take care of how the refill bottle is treated, more conscious use is needed here too, it`s not a one way street. So clean more consciously and deal with the packagings you use more consciously is the solution. That is why we also switched to tablet solutions in our cleaning chemical innovation range, less packaging waste (between 60 and up to 95 % depending on the application and product type) at all, simple refill systems, less co2footprint and a real sustainable approach (Quin Tab, Multi Kleen Pro Tab System, Piccomat Tab and more to follow). Refill is the future, use less packaging, not a slightly better footprinted packaging. #sustainability #innovation #refill Crohill If we can add then benefits in the whole cleaning processes for example also with systems using no micro plastic and less to no plastic in all cleaning processes (Mops, Cloth and so on), then we have gained a good step into the right direction. #plasticsoupfoundation #schonerschoon
