Use Images to Boost Your Online Presence

Use Images to Boost Your Online Presence

Choosing the right photos for your website and online marketing that ‘pop’ will make potential clients remember you.

Even without a budget for a photographer, there are plenty of ways to get great images for your website.

Using Images in Marketing

Humans are visual creatures and that’s why using images for online brand marketing is critical.

Every image you share should represent your brand identity and invoke emotion. If you want to create a connection with your audience, you need beautiful photos that represent your brand well.

Images on Your Website

Having great images on your website is so important. Not only will people stop engaging with an unattractive website, but images can improve your SEO (search engine optimization).

When Google and other search engines scan your website, they look at all your content, including images. Good, optimized images can improve our search rankings.

Using images on your website can make people stay on your website longer. Website content with images gets 94% more views than content without. So, if you want more traffic, you need to use more photos on your website. Of course, this only works if you’re using images properly. Use only relevant and attractive images with small files sizes (so they load quickly).

How to Choose Photos for Your Website

Hopefully, you’ve read other posts we’ve written about creating a brand guide. A brand guide includes your brand colors and fonts. It also tells you what look and feel you want for your brand and, therefore, your imagery.

You should be using high-quality images. No one wants to look at blurry pictures!

If you have the budget to hire a professional photographer, go for it! If not, there are many options available for great, stock images that are affordable or even free.

For paid images, we recommend iStock and Adobe Stock for great but affordable images. ?

If you are looking for great free images, check out Gratisography and picjumbo.?

Focus on using a few great images that are arranged properly. Visual clutter is a bad thing! A good web designer can help make sure your website looks great by using the right combination of high-quality content, beautiful images, and well-placed calls-to-action.
