Use ELL Strategies

As an educator and administrator, I have come to the conclusion that all students are ELLs.  For that reason, as teachers we need to use a variety of strategies to teach the material that our students need to master.  The materials and information of the unit need to be meaningful, information that the student can use outside of the school and in life in general and learning must be fun.   When a teachers uses pair activities, group activities, when learning is student centered, the teacher is a facilitator, performance tasks or projects are used frequently, you included fun games (e.g. Quizlet, Quiz.com activities, Jeopardy on PPT, etc.), use visuals and simple PPTs, educational fun videos and you mix it with the right rigor you have a very powerful curriculum where all students learn at high levels.
