Use “daunting” in a sentence.

I love the way that Michael Bungay Stanier (author of recently published book?How to Begin) defines a worthy goal.

Any Worthy Goal must have three key components – thrilling, important, and daunting.

• Thrilling?is something that is ambitious for you, important to you, lights you up and speaks to your values and legacy. Thrilling gets you excited.?
• Important?is something that is ambitious for the world and answers the question “does this goal give more to the world than it takes?”?
• Daunting?is something that takes you to the edge of your growth.?

If your goal is missing one of these components, you threaten the sustainability of working on your Worthy Goal:??

• Thrilling and Important, but not?Daunting?- too comfortable and familiar, no learning edge
• Important and Daunting, but not?Thrilling?- not motivating enough, will feel like an obligation
• Thrilling and Daunting, but not?Important?- too self-centered, not enough impact or meaning

Set a worthy goal today – and make it?daunting!
