Use of Artificial Intelligence in Court Proceedings

The Federal Court of Canada issued a new release on May 7, 2024 confirming its expectation that parties to proceedings inform the Court and each other if documents they submit to the Court include content created or generated by artificial intelligence (AI).? This must be done by a Declaration in the first paragraph stating that AI was used in preparing the document, either in its entirety or only for specifically identified paragraphs.
