What is Articles ?

In English Articles are important tool to form a sentence. yes "A letter/word can change the whole thing".

"a","an","the" are called articles.

For example :

A tree, A ball, The tree, The box etc.

There are two types of articles.let's see

• Definite Article
• Indefinite Article

Where to use?

The Definite Article can be used before singular countable nouns,plural countable and uncountable nouns.

Ex: The tree,The books,The park

Indefinite Article can be used before singular countable nouns

Ex: A tree, A book, An orange

Some cases:

• "A","A" are used before not only vowels but also some consonant letters with vowel sounds.

Ex: An honest, An hour, An heir, An umbrella etc...

• Singular countable nouns with vowel letter

Ex: a one rupee note, a one eyed man etc...
