On Monday, December 7, 2015, USDOT issued “Beyond Traffic: The Smart City Challenge” to fund one mid-sized city with $40,000,000 in federal funds with another $10,000,000 from a private company, for total $50,000,000 over a three year period, to conduct a Smart City Demonstration.

Barry thanks for posting this--whether individuals are interested in bidding or not I hope they attend the kickoff next week either live or via web stream for this important PPP project that I think will set a standard for government and private sector collaboration on making our cities and transportation network smarter
