USBN is the Official Student-Athlete Experience Event Sponsor for NAIA

The landscape of Collegiate sports is changing so rapidly and dramatically it is hard to keep up. There is so much change currently Athletic Directors, Coaches, and more have yet to really learn what is the path forward. Mainly for the reason of this is because the path forward is unknown and likely to change several times. However, currently schools are having to deal with players leaving every year so quickly with the portal. Players able to stay in the system so long with the new JUCO / NCAA eligibility rule of not taken away any years of playing. Thus, a player could play 4 years in a JUCO and then go play 4 more years with the NCAA. And last and the biggest change, players can get paid. Before America lived on an amateur and professional system. Grades 1-12 and College was armatures and could not be paid to play. To be paid to play you were called a professional.

Schools going into the 2025 face all new challenges. These challenges mainly are about money and competition. Let's all agree on the following fact, sports make money and therefore when the conversation of sports comes up, so does money. When it comes to money, so colleges have a lot of it, while others barely have enough to operate. Thus, this becomes the questions of competition. How does one school compete with another school that seemingly has an unlimited budget plus supporters (Collectives) and another struggles to purchase uniforms.

In steps the United States Basketball Network USBN . The USBN is dedicated to supporting and growing professional basketball in America outside of the NBA. When the USBN talks professional basketball, No, it does not mean we are talking about the NBA. There are more teams and leagues that exist outside the NBA that are professional teams and players. Similar to college sports, there are more teams and players outside than just the NCAA. Thus, the USBN sought this would be a great opportunity to partner with the NAIA as both organizations stand behind the shadow of the Associations ahead of them. The biggest similarity between the two Associations in front of the USBN and NAIA is they both have a LOT OF MONEY! Stupid amounts of money with billion dollar media rights, hundreds of millions in sponsors, players making over $60 million in one year and even a college player not even able to buy a beer with millions of dollars of cash pilled up in his doom room. USBN and NAIA are just the same as the NBA and NCAA but the players are slightly less dominate and the revenues are far below.

This creates opportunities. This creates partnerships. When two organization have similar goals one can start to look have leveraging one resources and assets with another groups resources and assets and starts to build an action plan that brings to the two groups together for the benefit of helping one another become more success. The combination of resources and development of a partnership, combine betters one another and results in positive outcomes. The number of positive outcomes is only limited between what one group and the other group can come up with. USBN started to make a list of all the positive outcomes it can provide to the NAIA. USBN, also, started to make a list of what it would use from the NAIA that benefits, strengthens, and enhances greater success to their own mission.

The current partnership agreement between the USBN and NAIA is a work in progress. However, much has already been written out and details are confidential to both partners (Do not want to divulge our trade secrets)! In simple terms the partnership for both will increase revenues. The partnership will also enhance the experience for players and students. Lastly, the partnership, will help promote and advertise for one another resulting in making that shadow casted on us a bit lighter as the USBN and NAIA continue to step out into the light and show our associations and thrive and continue to be successful.

The USBN's sponsorship of the 2025 Men's NAIA Basketball National Championship is one of the first and biggest opportunities to meet Coaches, Colleges, Players, and Students and share with them how USBN can be of service and the benefits that will come along with this partnership. USBN is excited to have the platform and opportunity to speak in front of these important personnel and students. Creating awareness and educating others is USBN's first priority and it will start in March during the NAIA National Championship.
