USAID is good for American businesses, American employees and America

MAGA lies about United States Agency for International Development (USAID) are just pure lies. The truth, they are taking billions out of the pockets of American businesses and American employees and allowing for the potential spread of pandemics and global instability that could require American troops to resolve.

So, what is USAID?

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) was created to structure America's diplomatic engagements around the world, in an orderly manner. USAID, just like any real Federal department or agency (DOGE isn't a real agency) starts with a Congressional Statutory Act. After decades of managing America's global humanitarian and diplomatic activities through various disparate agencies, President John F. Kennedy wanted to create a centralized authority to manage the delivery of international aid and support, so we could be proactive and respond to crisis situations more effectively. President Kennedy worked with Congress to introduce and pass through both chambers, the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, which provided the enabling statutory authority for the President to create an operating agency for implementing his vision (The FA Act of 1961 passed on 9/4/1961). President Kennedy then signed Executive Order 10973 to establish the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) predicated upon the implementing authority authorized by the FA Act of 1961. USAID was an extension of the Monroe Doctrine, which evolved to include the Marshall Plan after World War II and the Mutual Security Act of 1951 which replaced the Marshall Plan. USAID bolsters our foreign policy goals without the need for military invention on the ground, yet it has and is a net positive for American businesses and employees.

How does USAID impact American Businesses and employees??

Providing assistance around the world doesn't mean only spending money outside of America. The MAGA side lies to Non-MAGA and MAGA Americans about US foreign aid, is if this takes away from Americans, but it doesn't. USAID spends billions of dollars buying goods and services from American Businesses, American Non-Profits and American Colleges and Universities to provide goods or technical assistance all over the globe. American rice, wheat, and soybean farmers sell to USAID to supply food aid worldwide. USAID buys medicines from American Pharmaceutical companies, medical supplies from American Durable Medical Equipment providers, contracts with American Shipping, Transportation and Logistics companies to ship American made goods overseas. In the last calendar year, USAID purchased $2 billion in U.S.-grown crops from corn and soybeans to wheat, sorghum, vegetable oil and peas. Midwest Battleground and near battleground farmers from states like Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Ohio and Wisconsin farmers were among those selling their crops to the USAID program.

In Fiscal Year 2024 (October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024), USAID (which had a budget of $44,198,584,720) had spending obligations with American businesses and American non-profit agencies totaling $9,932,416,479.43 and personnel compensation budget (wages for American workers, purchasing services from American Health Insurance, Workman's Comp Insurance and other American benefit service companies) of $1,589,283,232 equaling $11,521,699,711.43, which is 26.07% of the total USAID budget. So while living the lie fueled quest to terminate the USAID, which is only 0.46% of the fiscal year 2024 spending amount ($44,198,584,720 USAID obligated FY 2024 spending budget compared to $9,682,897,699,573 total FY 2024 US obligated spending), you will eliminate $11.5 billion in spending with American businesses and workers out of the economy.

USAID is an American force for good dating back to the Monroe Doctrine and Marshall plan, directly spends $11.5 billion of its budget with American businesses and workers (benefits the families of American business owners and American workers), opens US businesses to International markets and only cost 0.46% of the total US budget, how is this foreign policy and American economy engine agency a "dark money slush fund" or an "evil leftist threat to America"? It isn't. Donald Trump & Elon Musk want to rob American businesses and American employees (and the families of American employees and business owners) of $11.5 Billion dollars, $11.5 Billion dollars. Are Non-MAGA Americans, American Business owners and the traditional Mainstream Media good with Trump, Elon and MAGA Republicans stealing $11.5 Billion from the American economy, American Businesses and American families?

Lies, lies and more lies - Let's Make Truth Simple Again

Let's address the lies from President Elon Musk, MAGA Fascist Donald Trump, Baghdad Barbie and the MAGA Fascist regime in DC about this Federal Agency (we can address lies about other agencies in future posts):

1. There is no "waste, fraud or abuse" in the USAID agency - Elon, MAGA Mike Johnson, MAGA Mainstream Media & MAGA Republicans are lying. If it isn't in an Inspector General report, it isn't happening. In Donald Trump's case, he's getting imaginary information from his imaginary friend during his multiple psychotic breakdowns (every time Trump cites "things no one has ever seen", "you wouldn't believe", "everyone is seeing it" and "unbelievable amounts of" is his dementia mania displays in his soliloquy's of information. It's not real, it's made up). The so-called Trump Regime memo about USAID spending abuses is 90% made up actions that never happen and 10% lies about spending that did take place, it's 100% BS.
2. Elon Musk's team hasn't found any fraud or criminal behavior within USAID, this is a lie (they haven't shown any fraud or criminal activities, illegal payments, etc., they are making up things and talking confidently about their lies)
3. DOGE is not a legal Federal agency, department or advisory group. They don't have the legal right to do anything they are doing, everything they are doing (putting USAID staff on layoff, changing websites, freezing payments and aid shipments) is all illegal, period.
4. Trump doesn't have the legal ability to conduct mass firings of USAID employees or offer employee buyouts (there's no statutory law and budget approval from Congress for "buyouts"), these actions are all illegal and criminal.
5. Trump or Elon have the legal authority to close a Federal agency - that's a lie. Because USAID was created by Congress via the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, only Congress can shut it down. As a Congressional Research Service report issued February 3, 2025 says, “Because Congress established USAID as an independent establishment (defined in 5 U.S.C. 104) within the executive branch, the President does not have the authority to abolish it; congressional authorization would be required to abolish, move, or consolidate USAID.”

The traditional Mainstream Media and Pro-Democracy allies can make simple truths overly complicated or they play around the edges instead of going right to the truth.
