Dozens allege weight loss and diabetes drugs cause harmful side effects
More than five dozen lawsuits accuse drug makers of failing to notify patients about the side effects of their popular diabetes or weight loss drugs, including Ozempic.
Millions of Americans have flocked to a popular class of drugs known as GLP-1 agonists, or glucagon-like peptide 1, which are prescribed for diabetes and weight loss and have become a blockbuster category of medications for drug companies.?
But now patients are suing Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk, the two companies that make drugs within this class of medication, saying they suffered distressing digestive symptoms, such as gallbladder removal or gastroparesis, after taking the drug.

1 年Honestly, would never put this stuff into my body, especially if I was diabetic. Diabetics are already predisposed to gastro-paresis, and now we want to give them a medication that causes it on purpose. People need to quit looking for the quick fix and start treating food as medicine. I was at a functional medicine conference a few years ago, and it was stated that if every diabetic patient would adopt a Ketogenic diet plan, it would put 7 drug manufactures out of business. Western medicine has become a treatment of symptoms not causes, and it's sickening.
