USA Today--Honor the Truth

USA Today Honor The Truth

I wrote this in response to a column Published by Christine Brennan in USA Today. USA Today's Headline is not what I would gave chosen but what is in the response to Christine Brennan's piece is important. Concepts like "Easily digestible "trending hashtag" false narratives gaining factual equivalency. Concepts like: There is No Honor Without Truth.

Also note USA Today limited our response--here is what they took out:

1.      Prosecutors investigated claims and questioned Paterno. They stated he was not involved in any attempt to cover it up.

Core American concepts of due process and the presumption of innocence must defeat false claims that lack credibility. We cannot allow truth to be obscured by salacious stories a cynical society and media want to believe.

All along the only honor we’ve sought is the truth, a truth found in documents Penn State’s Board, Louis Freeh and the NCAA are still trying desperately to keep from the public.
