USA imposes sanctions against ?ukanovi? family if Milo runs for president ?!

If Milo ?ukanovi? runs in the presidential elections, he and his family members will face State Department sanctions, as learned by the IN4S portal.

A source close to the State Department, which in the past few days had an active role in organizing the visit of the Prime Minister Dritan Abazovi??and his team to the USA, claims that the Americans have very clearly taken a stand on the possibility of ?ukanovi?’s presidential candidacy. If he ignores their request to withdraw from politics, the current president of Montenegro and his family members shall be put on the American sanction list due to his connections with organized crime, claims the source of the said portal.

Let us remind you that during his stay in America, the Prime Minister Abazovi? presented, to several important addresses, concrete evidence about connections between ?ukanovi? and the people around him and criminal groups involved in cocaine and cigarette smuggling.

While visiting the Atlantic Council, Abazovi? publicly announced that Milo ?ukanovi??personifies the politics joined in a deep and private country connected to organized crime and corruption and added that he would corroborate it with numerous evidence, which he did, as we learned.

In the interview for “Washington Examiner”, Abazovi? stated that the president of Montenegro “is protecting criminal networks inside the country” after his government had executed a record number of arrests.

“President ?ukanovi? is at the head of this“, said Abazovi?, accusing him of encouraging religious and ethnic divisions which led to the fall of his government in August.

In America, Abazovi? had meetings with multiple influential members of the establishment, where he presented extensive material confirming the claims regarding the connection of President ?ukanovi? with organized crime. This consolidated the position of the State Department high officials that the leader of the Democratic Socialist Party is too big a burden for democratisation of Montenegrin society and the fight against corruption and organized crime.
