USA here I come ...

USA here I come ...

... well not quite yet - but in July. And as we know time has a habit of flying away from us all. So it is definitely time for me to finalise my schedule and get things confirmed.

My first financial outlay for the trip has been to book a place at the University of New Hampshire Violence Prevention Conference 2024 Conference | Crimes against Children Research Center (unh.edu) Far too good of an opportunity to miss given the dates coincided and I am really excited to meet people from the US domestic violence sector in person.

Having said that, I had my best virtual conference experience last week - at the Suicide Research Symposium #SRS24. Three days of immaculately presented and facilitated workshops supported by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention I think you can still register for free and go back and watch all the sessions SRS 2024 (suicideresearchsymposium.com)

So back to the point of this update - do you know anyone in the US (from either the domestic violence sector, or the suicide prevention sector) who is working on / interested in supporting the mental health of people impacted by domestic violence? Please can you point them my way? You can contact me either through this platform or email [email protected]
