US NGO partners with Clearya app to help shoppers avoid PFAS

NGO Defend Our Health will make PFAS data, obtained from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), available to consumers via the Clearya app and browser extension to help alert customers to undisclosed persistent chemicals in products while shopping online.

Defend our Health said in their 25 June announcement that the data reported to the DEP is now available to consumers through the collaboration with Clearya.

Clearya’s online tools will allow customers to get automatic alerts on "potential health risks hidden in ingredient lists and find safer alternatives wherever you shop..

the organisation has been testing and tracking consumer products containing PFAS in Maine for years. "And now, we can present all this information to consumers directly through their browser or the Clearya mobile app".
