Just as the United States gets ready for the 2024 presidential election, American investor Bill Ackman has made a bold prediction: that the 37-year old biotech entrepreneur-cum-activist Vivek Ramaswamy ‘will run for POTUS and win!’ Ackman finds in Ramaswamy a ‘young, smart, and talented’ leader who ‘speaks hard truths which many believe but fear to say.’
Ramaswamy is well-known for his corporate anti-woke movement and has authored a best-seller book 'Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America's Social Justice Scam.' He was born in Cincinnati to an Indian immigrant couple hailing from Kerala. He received his education at #Yale and #Harvard. Ackman has vouched for Ramaswamy’s deep knowledge of #business, #economics, #healthcare, #politics, #history and #geopolitics, added that more often than not, the crowning glory has gone to the most improbable candidate (#Clinton, #Obama, and #Trump)
- Ramaswamy has reportedly been doing test runs, giving speeches at various events and has been conducting fact-finding missions in Iowa. He shot to fame after Rishi Sunak unexpectedly became the prime minister of the United Kingdom
- His words ‘Fear is infectious but courage can be contagious too’ have already become viral. Meanwhile, Nikki Haley, also born to Indian immigrants has already announced her run for US presidential election
- Will the US replicate the UK example of having an India-origin leader at the helm, and if yes, will Ackman’s prediction come true or not, we will know in a year’s time
