Today, the American Council for Technology - Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) Cybersecurity COI hosted Venice M. Goodwine, CISSP, PMP .?As the Department of the Air Force CIO, Venice shared her insights and approaches for technology as the enabler for some of the most challenging mission objectives in our nation.?
Her emphasis on maintaining a mission-focused approach, projecting strength, and enabling the warfighter through technological advancements was particularly impactful. As defined in the DAF CIO strategy, innovation, agility, and resilience underscores the critical role of cutting-edge technology in securing our nation's defense. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration with our partners, allies, and industry, the DAF is setting a strong foundation to empower our warfighters and ensure our strategic advantage.? Venice also shared her vision on the importance of industry collaboration and the need for optimal solutions that prioritize mission over profit.??
We were particularly encouraged by the progress made in the utilization of artificial intelligence as a top priority for enhancing workforce productivity. The commitment to integrating AI aligns perfectly with the need to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving threat landscape.
