U.S. Army ERDC Recognized by Department of Defense, Proving Excellence in Technology Transfer

VICKSBURG, MISS. – The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) has recognized the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) for its groundbreaking technology transfer initiatives that help maintain a technological advantage for warfighters and foster economic growth among industry partners.

During a recognition ceremony at the Pentagon in October, Antisa Webb of the ERDC Office of Research and Technology Transfer (ORTT) accepted the prestigious George F. Linsteadt Award, which acknowledges outstanding contributions to technology transfer initiatives in public and private sectors.

“ERDCWERX is collaborating with TechLink and Fuentek, LLC to raise awareness of ERDC’s innovations, which have high potential for industry partnering opportunities,” said Paul Sumrall, director of ERDCWERX. “The recent recognition of our government partner by the DOD is a testament to ORTT’s commitment to enhancing ERDC’s innovation portfolio for the benefit of the Army and nation.”

Industry and academia collaboration with ERDC contributes to economic development, job creation, and solutions for critical nationwide challenges such as infrastructure development, disaster mitigation, and national security.
