Urine Color and Its Indications

When Your Urine Turns This Color, It Could Mean ??

1. Clear or Light Yellow ??

- Indication: Well-hydrated.

-Causes: Because the promoted products include beverages that have a diuretic effect, such as tea, coffee, juices, and water.

2. Pale Yellow ??

- Indication: Normal hydration.

- Causes: Adequate water requirements, well functioning kidneys.

3. Dark Yellow ??

- Indication: Mild dehydration.

- Causes: lack of fluids, high amounts of vitamin B.

4. Amber or Honey ??

- Indication: Moderate but more likely severe depletion of body water content.

- Causes: Lack of sufficient fluid intake, profuse perspiration, high protein intake.

5. Orange ??

- Indication: The four conditions that could be related to dehydration, or potential liver or bile duct issue:

- Causes: Some drugs, high in beta-carotene, illnesses affecting the liver.

6. Brown or Tea-colored??

8. Blue or Green ????

9. Cloudy or Murky ???

- Indication: Potentially a urinary tract infection or problems with the kidneys.

- Causes: Catheter related complications; UTIs, hurricane related complications; kidney stones, fluid and electrolyte imbalances, chronic diseases, hyperphosphatemia.

10. Foamy or Frothy

- Indication: Kidney problems may be the issue here.

- Causes: Proteinuria, kidney disease, acute cystitis, pyelonephritis.

Pay attention to the changes in your urine color to know how well you are maintaining proper hydration and your overall health. Any deviations that are ongoing or alarming should warrant a call to your healthcare provider.
