URGENT SECURITY ALERT

Dear all, Please be advised that there has been a recent rise in the amount of potentially destructive emails being received by users containing the OCEAN Virus and also emails requesting payments be made to either third parties or your organisations clients. These can often appear to come from within your organisation. 

The Ocean virus if activated by opening the email attachment, will encrypt files on the PC and any Server drives that the PC has access to, rendering them un-useable!

The payment request emails are obviously a SCAM and if acted upon will mean a loss of funds!

At present these emails are not always caught be Spam filters and are appearing in users Inbox’s.

I would urge you all to inform ALL your users urgently to be vigilante, ensure they read all emails thoroughly before opening any attachments or acting upon their content and ensure that any such emails are deleted immediately if received!!!
