DECEMBER

  1. Business Revitalization Grant: up to a maximum grant amount of $25,000. Deadline: December 30, 2022.
  2. Apply now to?Education Partnerships Program?to receive support in the advancement of First Nations student achievements in school. Deadline: December 31, 2022.
  3. Allard Foundation?supports charities in Western Canada primarily in Edmonton and Alberta with up to $10,000. Fiscal year ends on December 31.
  4. Medical Liability Reimbursement Program:?provides partial reimbursement to eligible physicians for medical liability protection fees. Application deadline for 2022: December 31, 2022.
  5. Electric Vehicle Charging Programs: With up to 46% of the costs of purchasing and installing a new charging station. Funding is available on a first-come first-served basis.
  6. Care Capital Program?is now open for application.?Alberta?government has committed up to $204 million in Budget 2022.
  7. Climate-Smart Agriculture and Food Systems: up to $24,000,000 total funding available in one of its programs. Learn more.
  8. Receive maximum grant funding up to $500,000 through?Emerging Opportunities program. Application is ongoing.
  9. NExT Level Careers?offer technology companies $2000 to hire Alberta talent for a 100 hour project. Application is now open.
  10. Clean Energy for Rural and Remote Communities Program: An additional $300 million is available until 2027 for your clean energy projects.
  11. Indigenous Forestry Initiative (IFI): available funding per year is $1 million.
  12. Technology Alberta FIRST Jobs Pilot Program: applications for companies and students are being accepted for 2023. Apply now!
  13. ImplementAB.digH?will be opening soon! up to $300,000 CAD funding available.
  14. Expanded Technologies Pilot program.?Incentive limit for parent companies up to $1 million.

JANUARY

  1. TECHNATION’s Career Ready?will open on January 1 for Winter 2023 program.?Receive up to $7000.00 subsidy.
  2. Idea to Innovation (I2I) grants?helps?accelerate the pre-competitive development of your promising technology. Next deadline: January 6, 2023.
  3. The Alberta government has committed up to $204 million in Budget 2022 for the?Continuing Care Capital Program. The application deadline is Friday, January 6, 2023.
  4. CanExport Associations: access up to $250,000 in annual funding. Deadline: January 10, 2023.
  5. Grant delivery agents:?Science and Technology (S&T) Internship Program – Green Jobs. Application until January 11, 2023.
  6. Translation component of Arts Across Canada: Up to $25 000 for each translation, plus an Annual Supplement for targeted costs. Next Deadline: January 11, 2023.
  7. Sport for Social Development in Indigenous Communities — Sport Support Program. Up to $5.3 million funding available. Call for applications deadlines: Stream One: January 9, 2023. Stream Two:?January 17, 2023.
  8. Neighbour Grants?offers up to $7,500 to help people build their sense of inclusive belonging in their own?communities. Next deadline: January 10, 2023.
  9. CanExport Associations: 2023-2024 application process will be open on November 29, 2022. Access up to $250,000 in annual funding. Deadline: January 10, 2023.
  10. Hire and mentor youth in the natural resources sector through?Science and Technology (S&T) Internship Program – Green Jobs. Deadline to submit proposal for 2023-24 and 2024-25 is until January 11, 2023.

  14. Microbusiness is now recruiting for online self-employment training. Class starts January 16, 2023.
  15. Industrial Transformation Challenge: Up to $50 million to help the province’s industrial sector reduce emissions, improve competitiveness. Deadline: January 19, 2023.
  16. Young Canada Works at Building Careers in Heritage (YCWBCH): benefit from wage subsidies and access a pool of students and graduates with innovative ideas and competitive skills. Deadline: January 20, 2023.
  17. Northern and Regional Economic Development Program. $200,000. Deadline: January 22, 2023.
  18. The next cohort of the?National Farm Leadership Program?will begin its journey on January 23, 2023. Learn more.
  19. The?Continuing Medical Education (CME) program?supports continuous professional development for physicians with up to $2,100. Deadline:?January 27, 2023.
  20. Government of Canada launches?call for proposals to help internationally educated professionals work in Canadian healthcare. Deadline: January 30, 2023.
  21. Stabilize Program – Adapt and Innovate Stream: supports Alberta sport and cultural identity, support tourism, and restore community vibrancy. Deadline: January 31, 2023.
  22. The?Disaster Recovery Program (DRP)?provides financial assistance for uninsurable loss and damage caused by emergencies and disasters. Application is ongoing.
  23. Business Revitalization Grant: provides a?grant matching 50% of construction costs up to a maximum grant amount of $25,000.
  24. Jobs and Growth Fund (JGF) in the Prairie Provinces: maximum funding available for a project is $10 million.
  25. Public Transit Infrastructure stream?support the building, expansion, and upgrading of urban and rural transit networks. Learn more.

FEBRUARY

  1. Connection Grants: access up to $50,000 or even higher to support your knowledge mobilization initiatives. Next deadline: February 1, 2023.
  2. Research grants?provide matching grants of up $25,000. Annual application deadline is the first working day of February.
  3. Insight Development Grants: valued at $7,000 to $75,000 over one to two years. Deadline: February 2, 2023.
  4. York Development Entrepreneurship Institute (YEDI) Incubator:?open to entrepreneurs across Canada.?Applications are now live and due online by February 3, 2023.
  5. Alberta Community Partnership – Mediation and Cooperative Processes program?support municipalities for mediation, facilitation or other dispute resolution alternatives to resolve intermunicipal conflict. Deadline: February 3, 2023.
  6. Future Focus Granting Program: $400,000 funding available. Applications will be accepted until the funds are expended. Next?deadline: February 6, 2023.
  7. The?Artist-Driven Organizations component of Explore and Create?supports the development of artistic activities. Grant amounts up to 60% of your total annual reveneus. Deadline: January 17, 2024.
  8. Inventures Startup Pitch Event 2023. Win $10,000 in inventures startup pitch competition. Deadline: February 24, 2023.
  9. The?Green and Inclusive Community Buildings (GICB) Program: access up to $25 million funding. Deadline: February 28, 2023.
  10. Odyssey – Language Assistant Program: paid work experience that provides a taxable salary of $ 25,000 for a nine-month work term. Deadline: February 28 of every year.
  11. Alberta Petrochemicals Incentive Program?provides grants to companies to attract investment in new or expanded market-driven petrochemical facilities.
  12. Need?funding for Indigenous-led clean production capacity projects? Apply here before funding expires.
  13. Community building recommissioning grant?provides up to $55,000 to cover up to 60% of eligible costs. Apply now before all funding is allocated.
  14. Connect to Innovate program?committed $585 million to improve connectivity in over 975 rural and remote communities by 2023. Application is still ongoing.
  15. Alberta’s government is reinstating fire services training grants. A total of $500,000 a year in grants will be available. Stay tuned for more details.
  16. Innovation Booster?provides up to 50% of total eligible project costs to advance your food innovation and research outcomes. Intake 1 closes on March 3, 2023.
  17. Canada Post Community Foundation?provides grants to projects that improves the life of?children and youth. Next application opens in March 2023.
  18. AgriInnovate Program: funding up to 50% of total eligible costs, to a maximum of $10 million. Deadline: March 31, 2023.
  19. Apprenticeship Incentive Grant for Women (AIG-W)?is a taxable grant worth $3,000 per level. Deadline: March 31, 2023.

COVID

  1. Venture Capital Catalyst Initiative (VCCI): Deadline for the first round of the inclusive growth stream: November 30, 2022. Funding available: up to $50 million.
  2. The?Tourism Relief Fund (TRF)?is a $500-million national program to support the tourism sector in Canada.
  3. The?Major Festivals and Events Support Initiative (MFESI)?is a two-year, $200-million national fund to help major Canadian festivals survive and adapt to the pandemic.
  4. Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program: COVID-19 Resilience stream:?The maximum size of projects under the stream is set at $10M total eligible costs.
  5. The?Jobs and Growth Fund?provides funding to businesses and organizations to help create jobs and position local economies for long-term growth. Learn more.
  6. The?Digital Economy Program?helps?small businesses take their businesses online.
  7. The?Aerospace Regional Recovery Initiative (ARRI)?is a national program that will provide $250 million over three years to help the Canadian aerospace sector.
  8. Short-Term Compensation Fund for Canadian Audiovisual Productions (STCF): extended until March 31, 2023 and is budgeted at up to $150 million dollars.
  9. Arts Presentation Fund for COVID Recovery:?the City of Edmonton allocated funds?for artists to present and perform their work. Application is still ongoing.
  10. Indigenous Community Support Fund: request funding for needs-based support covering the period until March 31, 2023.
  11. Recovery support for Canadian arts, culture and heritage organizations through?Canada Arts and Culture Recovery Program.
