AUGUST

  1. Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) – Partnership development activities (PDA): funds Up to 50% of eligible costs. PDA missions in Germany and South Korea are now open until August 26, 2022.
  2. NRC?is seeking?potential therapeutics to treat respiratory disease. Deadline: August 29, 2022.
  3. Donation Fund Program:?Up to $350,000 in matching funds are being made available. Open for donations until August 30, 2022.
  4. Plastics challenge: Apply now to?solve Innovation Solutions Canada’s plastics challenge!?up to $1,000,000 CAD funding available. Deadline:??August 31, 2022.
  5. Canada-France Agreement – Museums Assistance Program (MAP): provides funding for joint missions between French and Canadian heritage organizations. Deadline: August 31.
  6. TECHNATION’s Career Ready Program:?provides up to $7000.00 in wage subsidy per student. The Fall 2022 program is now open.
  7. Workforce Partnership grants: 2022-23 application period is now open.
  8. The?Rent Supplement Program?provides a subsidy to help make rental accommodation more affordable for individuals and families. Application is a first come, first served. Apply now!

SEPTEMBER

  1. Pre-announcement for Alliance Missions: Anthropogenic greenhouse gas research:?Letters of Intent deadline: September 2022.
  2. SSHRC and Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) have launched this?Knowledge Synthesis Grants competition?to mobilize social sciences and humanities research. Deadline: September 1, 2022.
  3. Dance Individual Project Funding: awards up to $15,000 for a specific dance project. Deadline: September 1, 2022.
  4. Artist Manager Program Funding: provide a grant up to 100% of eligible expenses. Deadlines: September 1, 2022.
  5. Visual Arts and New Media Individual Project: provides up to $15,000. Deadline: September 1, 2022.
  6. Digital Access to Heritage component of the Museums Assistance Program (MAP).?Deadline: September 1, 2022.
  7. Literary Individual Project Funding?provides up to $15,000?funding for a specific literary arts project. Deadline: September 1, 2022.
  8. Film and Video Individual Project Funding: provides up to $15,000 to support the development of individual Alberta artists, arts administrators, or an ensemble of artists. Deadline: September 1, 2022.
  9. ISCP Residency in New York Funding: receive up to $15,000 to support your residency.?Deadline: September 1, 2022.
  10. Organizations can now apply for grants up to $500,000 through the third round of the?Civil Society Fund. Deadline: September 2, 2022.
  11. Project Accelerator Grant?grants provide funding support up to $10,000. Deadline: September 2, 2022.
  12. Advancing Hydrogen — Competition One: New hydrogen projects will share $20 million in funding. Intake proposal deadline: September 6, 2022.
  13. Other Stream – Venture Capital Catalyst Initiative (VCCI):?up to $450 million funding available. Applications must be received by September 7, November 30, 2022.
  14. Innovation Booster:?maximum level of up to $100,000 matching funding will be available.?Application intake deadlines: September 10, 2022.
  15. ERA is seeking innovative CCUS technologies:?Total funds available?is $19 million. Deadline: September 12, 2022.
  16. The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is seeking a?technology, procedure or technique that provides the means to detect concussions. Deadline: September 12, 2022.
  17. Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) Small Stream: maximum funding request is $125,000. Next annual deadline: September 15.
  18. Canada History Fund: request up to $100,000. Deadline: September 15, 2022.
  19. ?Community Initiatives Program (CIP)?: access up to $250,000 funding. Deadlines: September 15, October 1.
  20. Alliance Missions: Anthropogenic greenhouse gas research: provide support up to?$500,000 per year. Deadline: LoI -September 15, 2022.
  21. Food innovation challenge: up to 50% eligible project costs will be provided. Full proposals deadline: September 16, 2022.
  22. UPDATE!?Toward net-zero homes and communities program: Request for proposals extended to September 21, 2022.
  23. Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships?are valued at $70,000 per year (taxable) for two years. Deadline: September 21, 2022.
  24. Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) program: supports the training and mentoring of teams by providing up to a maximum of $1.65M funding over six years. Deadline: September 22, 2022.
  25. The?Aboriginal Business Investment Fund (ABIF): Application?is now open until?September 30, 2022.
  26. First Nations Enhanced Education Infrastructure Fund: provides funding?to build new schools, renovate and expand existing facilities, and operate and maintain existing education infrastructure.?Deadline: September 30, 2022.
  27. AgriCompetitiveness Program:?applicant can receive maximum of $1 million per year. Intake period ends September 30, 2022 or until funding has been fully committed.
  28. AgriAssurance: Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Component: up to $100,000 funding. Deadline: September 30, 2022, or until funding has been fully committed.
  29. Pre-announcement for Alliance Missions: Anthropogenic greenhouse gas research: The call will target interdisciplinary, collaborative research projects supporting net-zero GHG emissions targets. Letters of intent deadline: September 2022.
  30. AgriCommunication Program: Applicants may apply for funding up to 70% of total eligible costs. Application is ongoing until September 30, 2023.
  31. First Nation Infrastructure Fund: Deadline for grant submission?is in the fall of each year.
  32. Genome Canada is launching a new?Climate Action Genomics Initiative?with approximately $30 million available funding. Deadlines: LOI- Mid-Sept. 2022; Application – Jan. 2023.

OCTOBER

  1. Bob Etherington Heritage Conservation Fund: Apply for funding to support attendance or delivery of training. Deadline: first working day of October.
  2. Energy Innovation Program – Carbon capture, utilization and storage RD&D Call: up to $50 million in support for FEED studies for large-scale CCUS facilities. Deadline to submit Expression of Interest: October 3, 2022.
  3. Outreach Initiative grants and contributions program: support organizations?for a variety of science- or innovation-based initiatives or projects. Application period: between September 1 and October 10.
  4. Revitalization Extensive Project Fund (REPF)?offering the funding between $20,001 and $250,000. Next intake: from September 15 to October 13.
  5. The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is seeking a?solution that will prevent collisions by proximity sensing in order?to simplify the safety of autonomous operations of space manipulators. Deadline: October 14, 2022.
  6. The?Small Institution Fund (SIF)?fund to a maximum of $400,000 or $800,000. Next deadline: October 15, 2022.
  7. Engaging youth leaders to encourage organizations to apply for funding under the?Youth Innovation Component of the Enabling Accessibility Fund. Deadline: October 17, 2022.
  8. Original Peoples Investment Program: Total funding available for this program is $650,000. Application period: September 5 to October 17, 2022.
  9. Natural Resources Canada ISO 50001 program?for commercial and institutional buildings will open on September 19, 2022 until October 21, 2022. Up to $200,000 maximum funding available.
  10. First Nations Environmental Contaminants Program: supports?in identifying, investigating and characterizing the impact of exposure to environmental hazards.?Deadline: October 21, 2022.
  11. Alliance Consortia Quantum grants: NSERC will provide support for 100% of the eligible costs of research through this program. Deadline: October 21, 2022.
  12. CanExport Community Investments:?provides non-repayable contributions up to $500,000. Applications for the 2023 call for proposal opens in September – October 2022.
  13. Indigenous Peoples Resilience Fund: funding available?up to $30,000. Open for monthly intakes.
  14. Alberta at Work?supports access to training and career development opportunities. Learn more.
  15. ImplementAB.digH: Alberta Innovates will contribute up to?$300,000 CAD. Check back soon!
  16. The?Youth Suicide Prevention Grant Program?is providing $3 million over the next two years. Future deadline to be announced.
  17. Tecterra: new programs coming September 2022. Stay tuned!
  18. Green and Inclusive Community Buildings: A second intake is planned.
  19. Enhanced Capacity Advancement Program: funding of up to $150,000 annually. The next multi-year funding cycle intake is anticipated for the fall of 2022.
  20. The Alberta government has committed up to $154 million for the continuing?Care Capital Program.?Grant submissions is anticipated later in 2022.
  21. Gain instant access to hundreds of new internships and exciting research projects through?Mitacs. A stipend starting at $10,000 per four-month period is available.

COVID

  1. Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program: COVID-19 Resilience stream:?The maximum size of projects under the stream is set at $10M total eligible costs.
  2. The?Jobs and Growth Fund?provides funding to businesses and organizations to help create jobs and position local economies for long-term growth. Learn more.
  3. The?Tourism Relief Fund (TRF)?is a $500-million national program to support the tourism sector in Canada.
  4. Work-Sharing Program: special measures for employers affected by the downturn in business related to COVID-19 effective March 15, 2020 to September 24, 2022.
  5. Indigenous Community Business Fund: access funding to support their community-owned businesses whose revenues have been affected by COVID-19.
  6. The?Digital Economy Program?helps?small businesses take their businesses online.
  7. The?Aerospace Regional Recovery Initiative (ARRI)?is a national program that will provide $250 million over three years to help the Canadian aerospace sector.
  8. Arts Presentation Fund for COVID Recovery:?the City of Edmonton allocated funds?for artists to present and perform their work. Application is still ongoing.
  9. The?Major Festivals and Events Support Initiative (MFESI)?is a two-year, $200-million national fund to help major Canadian festivals survive and adapt to the pandemic.
  10. Canada Arts and Culture Recovery Program: This funding will reinforce $300-million Recovery Fund for the Arts, Culture, Heritage and Sport Sectors and the $200-million Reopening Fund from Budget 2021.
