An Urgent Call for Change: Recognizing Immigrant Contributions
Immigrants drive significant economic growth and cultural vitality for our country. Our research shows Latinos in the U.S. are the most prolific creators of new businesses, and they are adding jobs for all Americans faster than non-Latino-owned businesses. 52% of Latino-owned businesses were created by a Latino who immigrated to the U.S.
It's time to recognize and support immigrants' incredible impact on our nation. Latino entrepreneurs are not just building businesses; they are creating jobs, opportunities, and strengthening our communities. Their contributions are essential to our nation's economic success and cultural richness.
We must advocate for policies that reflect the significant role immigrants play in our society. This means streamlining asylum procedures, strengthening border security, granting permanent protections to DACA recipients, and establishing pathways to citizenship for longstanding immigrants. Let's ensure that hardworking immigrants, like Dreamers and TPS holders, have the opportunity to thrive and continue contributing to our nation's growth. Let’s advocate for a comprehensive immigration reform that upholds our humanitarian values and strengthens our economy.
Together, we can build a future that celebrates diversity and fosters prosperity for all.

9 个月Latinos are the quintessential Americans. Many of us share the DNA of the original people of this continent; our ancestors were here before it was called America. Many of us are among the country's most recent immigrants who came here in the desperate hope of building a better life for our families—an embodiment of the hopes and sentiments of the Piligrims, the original founders of the U.S. Immigrants of all backgrounds, including Latinos, renew the essence of this, our country—we need them now more than ever.
