As we are rushing towards the close of our probation (our death, or the coming of Jesus) “What shall it profit a man if he should gain the whole world and lose his soul?” (Mark 8:36).
What shall it profit you as a person to gain a miracle in your financial situation, to gain a miracle in your relational life situation, what shall it profit you to secure a miracle from the historic Jesus you have embraced and lose your soul at the end simply because you did not understand how the ministry of Jesus currently in heaven works and so you keep living a life that does not help him save you?
It is ironical that the devil knows the preciousness and shortness of time and yet most people are in the dark.
Satan takes advantage of human ignorance of time to keep people distracted until probation closes as shown in Revelation 12:12 where the Bible states, “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because he knows that he hath but a short time”.
Urgency of Christ's Atoning Work: The close of probation signifies the end of Christ's intercession and atonement for humanity. As individuals we must urgently recognize and prioritize Christ's ongoing high priestly ministry in the Heavenly Sanctuary before time runs out, as this period offers the final opportunity for salvation and repentance (Hebrews 4:16).
Christ’s atoning work in heaven, as our High Priest in the Most Holy Place of the Heavenly Sanctuary, refers to His ongoing ministry of intercession on behalf of humanity. After His death on the cross, where He paid the penalty for sin, He ascended to heaven to continue His work of applying the benefits of His sacrifice.
As High Priest, Christ presents His sacrifice before God, intercedes for those who trust in Him, and cleanses their sins through His heavenly ministry. This is what adds value to salvation because it’s not just a one-time event; Christ’s continuous work in the Heavenly Sanctuary ensures that we can experience ongoing forgiveness, healing, and spiritual transformation as we live in relationship with Him. This process prepares you and me for eternal life with God, making salvation a dynamic, living reality rather than just a past event.
Judgment and Probation: The close of probation is linked to the judgment process, where each person’s case is reviewed to determine their fitness for heaven. Probation ends either at death or when Christ completes His intercessory work in the Heavenly Sanctuary, at which point eternal decisions are fixed, and no further changes in one's fate can occur (Revelation 22:11, Hebrews 4:14-15).
Personal Preparedness and Evangelism: Since the exact timing of probation’s closure is unknown, you and me we must be ready at all times, living in a state of repentance and faith. We are also called to urgently share the message of Christ’s atoning work, urging others to make the most of their time before the door of mercy is forever shut (Revelation 14:6-7).
I therefore invite you to embrace Christ’s offer of forgiveness and salvation today. Don’t wait—time is short! Invite your friends and family to Join our WhatsApp channel So they can also learn about this urgent message.
As you conclude you devotion today, Confess and Pray for forgiveness of your sins, Pray that God accepts your request through the blood of Jesus Christ, And finally pray that God accept you as His child and friend as you begin to work on mending your relationship with Him.
