Urban Minds: July Updates
Urban Minds
Creating meaningful ways for youth to shape equitable and sustainable cities.
Meet us at the OPPI Conference!
Ryan Lo, Angela Ng (Co-Executive Directors)?and?Jane Law (Project Coordinator)?are presenting an exciting workshop at OPPI:?Youth Ambassadors: A Two-Way Street for Equitable Engagement & Learning.?The workshop will run on?Wednesday, September 20th from 11:30am to 12:30pm.?
Hiring youth ambassadors is more than simply a way to involve youth in your project, it is a highly effective strategy to collect genuine and deep public feedback, especially in more diverse or marginalized communities. At the same time, the learning and mentorship opportunities that come with the role are invaluable to the youth themselves and could plant the seeds for them to pursue future careers in planning.
