The Upside to an Unpredictable Year… the Time to Build a New Website

This spring and summer when the country shut down, my solo exhibition for American Farmland Trust was cancelled, all of my commercial shoots were postponed indefinitely and my annual pilgrimage to Montana became impossible. Like many other creatives, the opportunities and income vanished.
However, I was determined to create something during the shutdown. Redoing my website was long overdue—I was always just too busy shooting, editing and working.
The hardest thing for photographers is to edit their own work, so I enlisted a wonderful photo consultant and editor, Jasmine Defoore.
Jasmine helped me to refine my ideal client and target audience: purpose-driven companies, brands and organizations who are seeking authentic visual storytelling to showcase their impact.
With that in mind, she selected my strongest photographs and broke them out into portfolios and stories/commissions.
The process was cathartic and satisfying. As I delved into my archive, I journeyed across the country through my assignments, revisiting the hundreds of people whom I have had the honor of photographing over the years and all of the clients and creatives with whom I have collaborated.
Now, at long last, I’m excited to share the new site and I hope you will check it out.
