Uploading documents using any M3 program, storing in IDM, and viewing through H5 context viewer.

Today, let’s look at a cool feature that can be configured easily and that is useful in various business scenarios. Once configured, users can easily upload documents in any M3 program, and those documents will be stored in IDM (Infor document management) and can be viewed through both IDM and respective M3 programs using the context viewer feature.

Below are the features that will be used in this example.

1.)???Infor OS - IDM – Infor document management

2.)???Infor OS- Mingle H5

3.)???H5 context menu.

**Please use google chrome to access Infor OS.

Let’s assume users need to upload copies of goods receiving documents through PPS330. These are the configuration required.

1.)???Create the document type in IDM

2.)???Configure the attributes.

3.)???Create the search query in IDM.

4.)???Configure the business context model.

5.)???Use MNS035MI to add entries.

6.)???Configure the business context model in PPS330

7.)???Click on a record and upload the document

1.)???Create the document type in IDM

3.)???Build the search query using IDM.

4.)???Configure the business context model (BCM)

Using Tools -> Context Publisher -> Infor Business Context configure only the required BCM and make sure to tick ‘Auto Publish’

7.)???Click on a record and upload the document.

Open the context viewer. Once you select a record in PPS330, you should be able to upload the required document. ?Attributes will be automatically attached to the document and it will be stored in IDM and at the same time document will be available in context viewer to view in PPS330.
