Upgrade Hyperion to 11.2.6
We recently just did an upgrade from 11.2.2 to 11.2.6 and wanted to discuss the experience and gotchas with this.
As per the Oracle documentation in order to upgrade to 11.2.6 from 11.2.2, you must do the interim step of upgrading to 11.2.4 first.
I can say that the process of going to 11.2.2 to 11.2.4 was pretty straight forward. Here is a summary of what was done. The environment was Windows 2019 server and SQL 2016 Server. In our upgrade we did 11.2.4 first, configured and deployed, started services and tested.
PLEASE NOTE: You do not have to do the above. You can just install the 11.2.4 files over 11.2.2 and then install the 11.2.6 files.
Our 11.2.4 Process
From the?Start?menu, select?Oracle EPM System, and then?EPM System Configurator (all instances). If you select this method make sure you put the correct information such as EpmSystem1, etc
Change to?EPM_ORACLE_HOME/common/config/version_number?and then launch?configtool.bat.
After the above was working we moved onto to the 11.2.6 upgrade. The steps here are a little more involved. Please make sure you follow the steps.
The registry key Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\LongPathsEnabled (Type: REG_DWORD) must exist and be set to 1.
Registry script:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00?
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem]

Once Long File Paths are enabled do the following: Delete all except the following folders below. Also MAKE SURE TO TAKE A COPY OF THE .ORACLE.PRODUCTS file
Dbclient32
Dbclient64
EpmSystem11R1
user_projects
Then follow the same steps as with 11.2.4
So there you have it in a condensed version of the process to upgrade to 11.2.6. Please remember to take a copy of the .Oracle.Products file and to enable Long File Paths.
We found out that when the .Oracle.Products file wasn't there or update, we encountered configuration issues with FDMEE.
Any questions please feel free to reach out to you.
Thank you for reading.

"UPGAST-00224: The specified database does not contain any schemas for Oracle Data Integrator or the database user lacks privilege to view the schemas. Cause: The database you have specified does not contain any schemas registered as belonging to the component you are upgrading, or else the current database user lacks privilege to query the contents of the schema version registry. Action: Verify that the database contains schema entries in schema version registry.?If it does not, specify a different database.?Verify that the user has DBA privilege. Connect to the database as DBA." Have you faced this issue?

3 年We are upgrading to 11.2.6 as well however we have a huge impact in our existing process. We are using Generic jobs scheduled in workspace on 11.1.2.4 which is now removed in 11.2.6.
11.2.7 is out. Have you checked?
