Upgrade cycle – The Daily PPILL #258

Most days I go through a morning ritual of updating the apps on my phone. It is a rare day when there are not at least four or five apps with a new release. EVERY DAY. Granted, there are hundreds of apps on my device; and the only one at fault for this is me, for installing all those “in case I need it” apps; but still, seems like it is awfully frequent the rynthm updates are being published.

It wasn’t always like that. Before we had an app-store, updates came seldom. Not that long ago, we stayed with Windows XP (service pack 2) for a decade. And we were fine. But we were also used to that an “upgrade” meant some type of a phenomenal and traumatic event that took months planning.

We came to think the same way about ourselves. That in order to improve in any aspect, we needed to make some heroic changes.

It is time we start to think about ourselves, the same way the app store handles our device. Little increments, here today, there tomorrow, go a long way.

Check in daily for your upgrades.
