Exciting developments in surveying!
Damian Ling, Senior Principal Surveyor from RPS Group, shared an impressive field endeavour undertaken by the RPS Ipswich surveying team.
Equipped with the cutting-edge technology of Seafloor Systems, Inc. Tridrone ROV, generously supplied by UPG (Ultimate Positioning Group) tackled the challenge of surveying the base of a detention basin for their valued client Stockland.
The depth information obtained from the sounder and position information from the Trimble Geospatial?R12i GNSS?receiver will be processed in TBC and 12d to complete a surface model of the site for the waterway engineer to review and to provide to council for as constructed records.
Despite adverse weather conditions at the time of civil works completion, the team persevered, demonstrating their commitment to client satisfaction and innovation in surveying techniques.
