SEO Tip for 2018!
It’s 2018, are you ready to step up your SEO game? SEO is constantly changing and tactics popular only a few years ago are now ineffective and new techniques are on the horizon. Check out some of the latest trends in both on-page and off-page SEO.
Voice Search is Here
People have been doing search results SEO for decades with much of the research going into what they type into the search bar. With today’s phones and in-home digital assistants, voice search is becoming more popular and will likely one day be on par or overtake typed searches. The way people speak into a phone is different than how they type, so SEO needs to take this into account.
Don’t Forget About Schema
Wordpress may have plug-ins that provide basic schema for your website, but if you really want to rule the search results and get those clicks, work on your own schema code. Search engine results already provide many features and that’s only going to grow as the year goes on. By having extensive schema, you’re telling Google what these aspects of your site are and they can include them in these features. These snippets and structured data are all part of SEO in 2018.
Focus on Mobile
With Mobilegedden in 2017, Google raised the bar on the importance of mobile search. They gave websites with mobile friendly pages a bump in rankings and more. If you’ve been holding out on getting a mobile friendly site or structuring SEO around mobile searches, then 2018 might be a difficult year. Mobile will continue to grow and Google is already putting an emphasis on accelerated mobile pages, so don’t fall behind. Mobile optimization goes further than a responsive site, it involves user experience, SEO and more.
