Microsoft is rolling out changes with new features and improvements to Teams Rooms Licensing with the introduction of Microsoft Teams Room Pro & Teams Rooms Basic.
The future of work should be flexible
As organizations continue to evolve, now more than ever they need a single integrated platform to collaborate and communicate effectively. Microsoft Teams is the hub for real-time communications, content sharing and teamwork. With this in mind, Microsoft has committed to bridge the gap between physical and digital workspaces so that teams are able to work wherever they are with whomever they want; meeting rooms don't have to be tied down anymore.
What is Microsoft Teams Rooms?
Microsoft Teams Rooms is a new web conference experience designed to deliver inclusive meeting experiences. It helps remove barriers between meeting spaces, places and people through content provisioning, context-aware real-time collaboration guidance and rich media inclusion across devices. Microsoft Teams Rooms helps people connect with each other in different ways so they can work together more efficiently.
Introducing Microsoft Teams Rooms Basic & Microsoft Teams Room Pro
Microsoft is introducing new licensing to replace Microsoft Teams Rooms Standard & Teams Rooms Premium. Customers will now be able to choose between two different options, Teams Rooms Basic & Teams Rooms Pro.
Microsoft Teams Rooms Basic gives access to audio, video and content sharing capabilities, so that users can collaborate within a meeting room environment.
Customers who need core management features such as advanced security & telemetry, full Teams Admin Center management and multi-screen support will require Teams Rooms Pro.
