This week's much requested resource: Ofsted: Preparing for the Pre-Inspection Telephone Call

In line with the latest (Sept 2023) Ofsted handbook, this is a 'must have' if you are expecting a visit from Ofsted.? We recommend that you print this off, fill it in, and keep it next to the telephone so that you are ready for when you get 'that call!'

Another great tip is to write your key numbers, e.g. NOR, SEND percentages etc on a whiteboard on the wall so that you can read it whilst on the telephone. It's just another way to make it less stressful and an easier experience.?

Either way, we wish you all the best for your inspection! You can find more information about getting ready for an inspection on our blog section, and read books for headteachers from our curated collection of books for school leaders here.

HeadteacherChat Recommends: Manning's Tutors Johnny Manning

What do they do?

Manning's Tutors is a tutoring company that provides a range of tuition programmes for pupils in years 7-13. They offer online and face-to-face tuition for pupils in London, Manchester, and Newcastle, and have been working with schools since 2008.?

They provide a flexible, personal service and each school has a dedicated Liaison Officer who looks after your school.

Manning's Tutors was one of the first thirty organisations to be accredited under the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) in 2020.?

What do we think?

We were particularly impressed by the expertise of their tutors, who have excellent knowledge in their respective subjects, and the flexibility of their service, which ensures that all pupils can benefit from their learning opportunities. Find out more here
