With chilly days keeping us inside the house, February is a great time to teach kids about money. ?Take time this month to talk to your kids about saving, spending, and budgeting. Consider playing some indoor games that use money as part of the game. Help them to better understand the differences between a person's and a family's wants and their needs.
Building financial literacy early sets kids up for a lifetime of success. Let’s make the most of this cozy season to help kids grow their money smarts!
Working With Economic Councils to Launch Financial Literacy Lesson Plans!
For the past several months, we've been collaborating with six state's economic councils to advance financial literacy in elementary schools. We're now testing and fine-tuning the lessons plans. It's exciting to see this new project get into elementary school teachers' hands! If you know an elementary school teacher who might like to learn more and possibly participate in future events, please let us know.
