Buy With Prime + Amazon DSP

Amazon is revealing part of their long-term game plan as it relates to Buy With Prime, and boy, it’s a clever move. As you might recall, Buy With Prime is a feature you can deploy on your DTC website, allowing you to benefit from the hundreds of millions of Prime customers who already know and trust Amazon as a checkout and fulfillment method. Just having this on your website as a checkout option should help you increase your conversion rate. It eliminates the hassle of entering payment information, an address, and even worse, creating yet another login. These things are conversion rate killers for DTC.

But what's the flip side? Putting a piece of Amazon code on your website also gives them the ability to build audiences and implement tracking, so Amazon has cleverly elevated themselves one step higher into the value chain. This new data can be used to advance advertising goals, and that's what we now see with DSP integration. This means you can combine an audience from your own website with shopper behavior signals from Amazon, such as product page visits and purchases, and reach relevant shoppers with your ads.?

The final piece of this integration is driving traffic from DSP advertising to a Buy with Prime page on your website. Think of it as a collab with the powerful shipping and trust of Amazon, but with the improved margin and customer relationship benefits of DTC purchases. It’s like a half-step measure to move away from the Amazon Marketplace, but Amazon is still helping with the “plumbing” side of things. If their logistics are already the "plumbing" of your business, this is an easy next step.

  • Check impression shares regularly for better performance. High Top-Of-Search impression share is crucial because top-position ads receive more clicks, improving sales and return on ad spend (ROAS). To boost impression share, use bid adjustments, structure campaigns properly, utilize dayparting, optimize listings, avoid budget limits on top performers, and conduct ad copy split testing. Igor N.
  • Turn cart abandoners into buyers by using two effective strategies: offering exclusive discounts and retargeting them with display ads. These tactics help re-engage potential customers and drive them to finalize their purchases. Pratyay A.
  • Re-evaluate auto-targeting to boost visibility on Amazon. Auto campaigns improve product awareness and search presence through four targeting groups. Optimize performance and cost-efficiency with detailed analysis and strategic bid management. Gabriel Cáceros
