What an incredible month it’s been!?
In September, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Annual Century 21 Canada Conference in Ottawa. It was such a rewarding experience to connect with agents from across the country, learn new insights, and leave feeling inspired. Building new relationships and strengthening existing ones is truly fulfilling for me. Plus, I now have a fantastic network of trusted professionals across Canada that I can refer you to if you ever need an agent in another city or province.
I’m also honoured to have been sworn in for my second term as President of the Fort Saskatchewan and District Chamber of Commerce. It’s a privilege to serve our community in this role, and I’m excited to continue building on the momentum from last year.

Real Estate Market Update
Exciting news for home buyers! The Bank of Canada has been dropping interest rates consistently at their recent meetings, which is a big win for those looking to enter the market. While the fall market tends to be busy, it can still offer great opportunities for buyers. Some sellers are eager to move before the winter, making it a good time to find a solid deal.
However, in certain price ranges and property types, we're seeing a shortage of inventory. This is leading to multiple offers and a lot of activity. For sellers, it's more important than ever to price homes competitively. With only 2.3 months of inventory, homes are moving fast! If you're thinking of selling, now could be the perfect time to take advantage of the market's momentum.
The MLS? Home Price Index (HPI) composite benchmark price* in the GEA came in at $406,400, decreasing 0.2% from August 2024, and up 7.6% from September 2023.
“As the nights get longer, so do the days on market in real estate,” says REALTORS? Association of Edmonton 2024 Board Chair Melanie Boles. “Not even cuts to interest rates can keep our market going at the hectic pace it’s been at this summer. We’re now seeing the usual slowdown, but also the continuation of elevation in home prices due to competition over lower inventory.”
