An update to my sustainability goals

It's been around a month since I made my sustainability goals, and I want to look into how I'm doing and create a new plan to work towards.

Reducing my red meat consumption to once a month was one of the goals I set out to achieve and has been the most difficult to follow. Over the past month, I had three meals with red meat - This is entirely due to my own choices and giving in to temptations. Due to this failure, I'm going to give it my all to only eat red meat once, or not at all.

My goal of reducing my shower time to 5 minutes has been relatively easy. By playing a 5-minute song in the shower, it allows me to have a sense of how much time I have left while making it feel sort of like a challenge. I can see this becoming a routine in no time and am happy at my success.

To reduce my e-waste, I ran into a problem where I had to break one of my goals. I built my computer a month ago and recently had the motherboard die on me. Considering the motherboard is only a month old, I was very disappointed, and I've ordered a replacement. On the bright side, I didn't have to pay for it again, but I still wasn't happy with the situation. If all goes well when I install it tomorrow, I shouldn't face this sort of problem again for at least six years!

The new goal that I have set to go alongside my red meat consumer goal is to stop eating meat 2-3 days a week. Since my dads recently became a vegetarian and I'm currently living at home due to COVID, I hope that I will be able to achieve this goal while learning how to make tasty vegetarian meals myself.
